Hung State

“If the server is in a hung state, is there any way we can trigger an event?”

  • Hello Pritam,

If SL1 is completely hung, meaning the em7 service is no longer functioning, then SL1 will also be unable to report that the service itself is no longer working, as the service running is required for events to occur. You would need to set up monitoring of the SL1 appliances using a different SL1 stack.

  • Hi ,

Are you using agent or agentless for server monitoring?

  • May be you can try port monitoring . Eg monitor port 22 if it is listening or not . Most of the case if the server is hung ssh wil not work.
