SL1 GoldenGate 12.1.2 Release Notification

We are pleased to announce that SL1 GoldenGate 12.1.2 is now available. The release and documentation can be accessed using the following link:

 .iso is available now, and .VHD availability will be announced shortly.

The release contains update in support of Aurora 3, modifications to data pull to use JSON, a OL8 bulk Collector conversion utility, fixes for various defects, and package updates. Before upgrading to SL1 12.1.2, please review version 100 of the SL1: Execution Environment Check PowerPack, which includes a Dynamic Application you can use to detect problematic execution environments that may have difficulty running or working properly after upgrading to SL1 version 12.1.2.

    The Release Notes state that SL1 12.1.2 no longer supports the legacy version of data pull.

    Can someone explain what this means and the impact to monitoring functionality ?

      The new version of Data Pull is using JSON.  There is no impact to monitoring functionality if all the SL1 appliances get upgrade to 12.1.2 within 60 days.  Administrator notifications will start at 30 days with a warning if any appliances are still running an older SL1 release. After 60 days, data from appliances not running 12.1.2 will stop being saved to the SL1 database.
